He holds an engineering degree from Sri Jaychamarajendra College of Engineering, Mysore, and previously served as the Chairman of the Coimbatore Tea Traders Association from 2015 to 2017.
  • Shri Poonambhai Kalabhai Makwana, 65, was appointed as an Independent Director on the Board of Coal India Limited, effective November 2, 2021. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree since 1978 and is currently an industrialist and agriculturist. He has held roles such as Executive Member of the National Scheduled Caste Morcho, B.J.P, President of Gujarat Senva and Ravat Vikas Sangh, and Executive Member of B.J.P Gujarat State.
